There are other essential aspects of the office that also will benefit from increased transparency, accountability, and security, but the election system is my primary focus. My goals are to open the process up to public view to the maximum extent allowed by law, advocate for changes in law to increase participation and accountability, and build a 21st Century election system that earns public confidence. Our elections have been subject to criticism because the process is not transparent and accountable to the public. My name is Bob Hagglund, follower of Jesus Christ, believer in the American Dream, private citizen, not a career politician nor political agitator, and someone who loves our home state of Washington and its people enough to take a break from my four-decade information technology career to serve for a time in public office.
